In what police described as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing drive against illegal cannabis cultivation, three alleged cannabis cultivators were arrested from the Padwa region of Nandapur block, with an illegal plantation spread over nearly 10 acres destroyed during a police raid.During the operation, police detected approximately 12,000 cannabis plants cultivated over nearly 10 acres. Three persons allegedly involved in maintaining and cultivating the plantation were apprehended from the spot. They were identified as Jayaram Gemel (30) of Disariguda, Hasya Khara (45) of Lenjiguda and Ghasi Gemel (42), also of Lenjiguda.
