38.4% Adults and 35.4% Children in India Suffering from Fatty Liver Diseases : Study

An AIIMS study found that 38.6% of adults and 35.4% of children in India are affected by fatty liver disease. Obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and unhealthy diets are among the major contributing factors. The study also found liver fibrosis in nearly one-fourth of people with diabetes.
