50-Member Delegation from Koraput District Sets Off for Kevadia to Participate in National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) – 2026

The District Collector and the Superintendent of Police flagged off the journey.

Koraput, October 27, 2026: A 50-member delegation from Koraput district departed for Kevadia, Gujarat, today at 12:00 PM to participate in the 'National Unity Day' (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) – 2026 celebrations. The event is scheduled to be held in Kevadia on October 30 and 31, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the 'Iron Man,' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On this occasion, Koraput District Collector Mr. Manoj Satyawan Mahajan and Superintendent of Police Mr. Rohit Verma flagged off the delegation's journey.

Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Abhishek Panigrahi, Additional Tahsildar of Semiliguda Mr. Debi Prasad Nayak, District Information and Public Relations Officer Mrs. Yashoda Gadaba, and other police officials were present at the event.

According to the information received, the delegation, having commenced their journey from Koraput, will travel to Gujarat by train from the Rayagada railway station. The district administration has appointed two nodal officers to facilitate the delegation's travel, ensure necessary coordination, and provide required support throughout the journey.

The primary objective of observing 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' (National Unity Day) is to commemorate the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to strengthen the ideals of the nation's unity, integrity, and national cohesion. The participation of the delegation from Koraput district in this national-level event will help further propagate the message of national unity and a collective sense of responsibility.

ଏହି ଅବସରରେ କୋରାପୁଟ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଶ୍ରୀ ମନୋଜ ସତ୍ୟୱାନ ମହାଜନ ଏବଂ ଆରକ୍ଷୀ ଅଧୀକ୍ଷକ ଶ୍ରୀ ରୋହିତ ବର୍ମା ସବୁଜ ପତାକା ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରି ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଦଳର ଯାତ୍ରାର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ।

ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଆରକ୍ଷୀ ଅଧୀକ୍ଷକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଭିଷେକ ପାଣିଗ୍ରାହୀ, ସେମିଳିଗୁଡ଼ାର ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ତହସିଲଦାର ଶ୍ରୀ ଦେବୀ ପ୍ରସାଦ ନାୟକ, ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସୂଚନା ଓ ଲୋକସମ୍ପର୍କ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ଯଶୋଦା ଗାଦବାଙ୍କ ସମେତ ପୋଲିସ ବିଭାଗର ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।

ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସୂଚନା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, କୋରାପୁଟରୁ ଯାତ୍ରା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିବା ଏହି ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଦଳ ରାୟଗଡ଼ା ରେଳ ଷ୍ଟେସନରୁ ଟ୍ରେନ୍‌ ଯୋଗେ ଗୁଜରାଟ ଅଭିମୁଖେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିବେ। ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଦଳର ଯାତ୍ରା ସୁବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥିତ କରିବା, ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ସମନ୍ୱୟ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଏବଂ ଯାତ୍ରା ସମୟରେ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ସହଯୋଗ ଯୋଗାଇଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଦୁଇଜଣ ନୋଡାଲ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ନିୟୋଜିତ କରାଯାଇଛି।
