Koraput District Administration on Alert for Potential Cyclone ‘Arnab’: High-Level Review Meeting Held Under the Chairmanship of Additional Secretary Poma Tudu

In view of the potential cyclone ‘Arnab’, the district administration has made all necessary proactive preparations. A crucial preparatory meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Poma Tudu, Additional Secretary of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department. District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma, Additional District Collector Naresh Chandra Sabar, IAS Probationer Anup Kumar Nayak, Sub-Collector Fabi Rashid, and the Deputy Collector (Emergency) were present at the meeting. They conducted a comprehensive review of the district's emergency preparedness and security arrangements.

Key Decisions and Administrative Measures:

Officials at Block and District Levels on Alert: All departmental officials at the district and block levels participated in the meeting via virtual mode. The leave of all staff members has been cancelled, and they have been instructed to remain present at their respective headquarters. Safe Evacuation: The block administration has been tasked with identifying people living in low-lying and vulnerable areas and promptly relocating them to cyclone shelters or concrete (pucca) buildings.

Safety of Pregnant Women: Utmost priority has been given to the safety of pregnant women during the potential cyclone. The Health Department has been issued strict instructions to identify pregnant women whose expected delivery dates fall within the next few days and to relocate them in advance to the nearest Maternal and Child Health Centre or hospital. Traffic Management on Diversion Routes: The Police and the Public Works Department have been alerted to ensure safe passage on diversion routes and bridges located in areas prone to heavy rainfall and flooding. Measures are being taken to regulate or halt vehicular movement on hazardous diversion routes.

Relief and Emergency Services: Instructions have been issued to ensure the availability of dry food, clean drinking water, lighting, and essential medicines at shelter centers.

Rescue Teams on Standby: ODRAF, the Fire Services, and police teams have been kept fully prepared to handle any emergency situation. Necessary equipment for clearing roads is also available. Stating that ensuring the safety of the public is the administration's primary objective, the Additional Secretary has urged people not to panic and to follow government guidelines.

କୋରାପୁଟ: ୨୬.୧୦.୨୦୨୬: ସମ୍ଭାବ୍ୟ ବାତ୍ୟା ‘ଅର୍ଣ୍ଣବ’କୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ରଖି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଆଗୁଆ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି କରାଯାଇଛି। ଆଜି ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜାତି ଓ ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜନଜାତି ଉନ୍ନୟନ, ସଂଖ୍ୟାଲଘୁ ଓ ପଛୁଆ ବର୍ଗ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ବିଭାଗର ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ସଚିବ ପୋମା ଟୁଡୁଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ବୈଠକ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି।

ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ମନୋଜ ସତ୍ୟୱାନ ମହାଜନ , ଆରକ୍ଷୀ ଅଧୀକ୍ଷକ ରୋହିତ ବର୍ମା ଓ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେଶ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଶବର, ଆଇଏଏସ୍ ପ୍ରୋବେସନର ଶ୍ରୀ ଅନୁପ କୁମାର ନାୟକ, ଉପଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଫାବି ରଶିଦ ଏବଂ ଡେପୁଟି କଲେକ୍ଟର (ଜରୁରୀକାଳୀନ) ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଜରୁରୀକାଳୀନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଏବଂ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ବିସ୍ତୃତ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ।

ବୈଠକର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ:

ଆଲର୍ଟରେ ବ୍ଲକ ଓ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସ୍ତରୀୟ ଅଧିକାରୀ: ଆଭାସୀ (Virtual) ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଓ ବ୍ଲକ ସ୍ତରୀୟ ବିଭାଗୀୟ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ବୈଠକରେ ଯୋଗଦେଇଥିଲେ। ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ ଛୁଟି ବାତିଲ କରାଯାଇ ନିଜ ନିଜ ମୁଖ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହିବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।

ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର: ତଳିଆ ଓ ସମ୍ବେଦନଶୀଳ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ରହୁଥିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରି ତୁରନ୍ତ ବାତ୍ୟା ଆଶ୍ରୟସ୍ଥଳୀ ଓ ପକ୍କା କୋଠାକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ଲକ ପ୍ରଶାସନକୁ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।

ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା: ସମ୍ଭାବ୍ୟ ବାତ୍ୟା ସମୟରେ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷାକୁ ସର୍ବାଧିକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି। ପ୍ରସବ ପାଇଁ ଆସନ୍ତା କିଛି ଦିନ ଭିତରେ ତାରିଖ ଥିବା ଗର୍ଭବତୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରାଯାଇ ଆଗୁଆ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ମାତୃ ଓ ଶିଶୁ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କିମ୍ବା ହସ୍ପିଟାଲକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ବିଭାଗକୁ କଡ଼ା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।

ଡାଇଭର୍ସନ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଯାତାୟାତ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ: ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ଓ ବନ୍ୟା ଆଶଙ୍କାଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଥିବା ଡାଇଭର୍ସନ ରାସ୍ତା ଏବଂ ପୋଲଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଯାତାୟାତ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପୋଲିସ ଓ ପୂର୍ତ୍ତ ବିଭାଗକୁ ସତର୍ଗ କରାଯାଇଛି। ବିପଦସଙ୍କୁଳ ଡାଇଭର୍ସନ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଗାଡ଼ି ଚଳାଚଳକୁ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କିମ୍ବା ବନ୍ଦ କରିବାକୁ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନିଆଯାଉଛି।

ରିଲିଫ ଓ ଜରୁରୀ ସେବା: ଆଶ୍ରୟସ୍ଥଳୀଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଶୁଖିଲା ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ବିଶୁଦ୍ଧ ପାନୀୟ ଜଳ, ଆଲୋକ ଏବଂ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ମହଜୁଦ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।

ଉଦ୍ଧାରକାରୀ ଦଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ: ଯେକୌଣସି ଜରୁରୀ ପରିସ୍ଥିତିର ମୁକାବିଲା ପାଇଁ ODRAF, ଅଗ୍ନିଶମ ବାହିନୀ ଏବଂ ପୋଲିସ ଟିମ୍‌ଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ରଖାଯାଇଛି। ରାସ୍ତାଘାଟ ସଫା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରପାତି ମଧ୍ୟ ମହଜୁଦ ଅଛି।

ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବା ପ୍ରଶାସନର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ସଚିବ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବା ସହ ଭୟଭୀତ ନହୋଇ ସରକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶାବଳୀ ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
