Today is Birth Anniversary of Raja Rammohan Roy
The birth anniversary of Raja Ram Mohan Roy is celebrated annually on May 22. Born in 1772 in Radhanagar, West Bengal, he is widely remembered as the "Father of the Indian Renaissance" and the "Maker of Modern India" for his pivotal work in abolishing Sati and founding the Brahmo Samaj.
