Monsoon is at 100 km away from Kerala Coast : IMD

Monsoon may hit Kerala coast at anytime, predicted IMD. According to the report published in The Hindu today, Monsoon would be normal in North East part of Indis while the rest of India may face shortfall of rain. The problem is not just the total reduction in rainfall but the way the rainfall is distributed. Insufficient rains will prevent groundwater recharge. That may affect irrigation including rice & others, the report said.
