Children learn inside the school and also outside the school . Very often school management lacks the arrangement to manage the traffic challenges on the road just outside the school gate being caused by the one time release of students from the school gate after the final bell . This causes serious security threats for the children and others as well . Moreover children learn the way to maintain discipline on the road when the school takes care to see that children were handed over to their parents and vehicles properly without causing any challenges for the Traffic situation for the general public . If any school has adequate arrangement to facilitate such a learning by children , I salute them . Jai Jagannath .

That’s a nice thought. I have often pondered over the issue. Presently we install humps on either side of roads wherever schools are present.
We had seen same when we were in schools and copy the same without thinking twice. Such humps cause lot of inconvenience for public.
Instead, we should teach young students how to use the road safely. How to notice offending vehicles and report them.
Schools are laboratories and apart from covering text books, children should be groomed to grow up as responsible citizens. No littering, no use of loud speakers during school celebrations, pujas, maintaining good hygiene etc should be taught in schools
